Let me get this straight…the media tells us that Racial Profiling is not a good thing and it unfairly discriminates against certain people based on race or nationality. Let’s see, if Racial Profiling were to be used in this country to empower our security agencies to add an extra level of security, then maybe these would be some of the “red flags” that they could use to keep potential threats out of this country and possibly make us safer:
- Is this person from a country that sponsors terrorism?
- If this person is from a country that meets the requirements of Item #1, is said country actively engaged in killing American soldiers?
- Has this person announced plans to destroy any American allies…for example…let’s say Israel?
- Does the United Nations drool when this person wishes to address the world through the UN “soapbox?”
If the answer to any of the above questions is “YES”, then maybe our security agencies should be empowered to detain that individual before they step foot on American soil, for at least, further questioning.
But, since most reasonable, peace loving people would never support racial profiling, thank God some terrorists have enough etiquette to profile themselves.
Instead of requesting the the NYPD escort Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Ground Zero, I would fully support some off duty firemen from Manhattan giving him a tour of the alleys in and around the site…now’s that a tourist attraction I would like to see.
