Eating Like a Kid

Whether you call it frugality, cheap-skatedness, or down-right unethical...I call it practical.childsmenu I (acting on behalf of the entire KTOWN crew) often order from the Children's Menu when dining out. Sure. You may laugh at me, and some of you might even look donw your nises in disgust. But after last night's dining experience, I am proud not only to admit to this behavior, but share some inside tips to maximizing your Children's Menu dining experience.

Bring on 2009!

I love New Year's Eve (NYE).nye08 Not because of the parties...when you have two little ones, the evening usually consists of setting the alarm for 11:45pm in case you dose off during the local news, and you want see the ball drop and the fireworks. It's not for the resolutions. I don't make them. If I determine there's something I need to do or stop doing...then I usually don't wait. Seems dishonest or highly inefficient to wait for a completely arbitrary day like January 1st. Why not the second Tuesday in March? That could be a cool day...if there were parties and fireworks.

With two mortgage payments, two kids, and two dogs (I am beginning to see a pattern here), The Wife is becoming a Jedi Master at clipping coupons. At first, I thought it was just a scheme by the major stores to get you to come in and buy stuff you didn't need. But The Wife has taken it to a whole new level.
