Marathoning Is Just A Hobby

I agree with SADCOX about the Chi-town marathon.  And Richard Roeper makes a great point here.  Running and (especially) marathon-ing is just a hobby for 99.9% of us.  Now I know you train hard and maybe run several marathons a year, but unless you are making a living at this…it’s a hobby.

Whether the Race had enough water is still in question, but I will venture a guess about the Chicago Marathon water supply…

The race had plenty of water for proper hydration for 40,000+ runners, but the race did not have enough water for under-trained runners to douse themselves at every water station because they were “hot.”

What should be “blogged” about is the extraordinary finishes for both the men and women.  Absolutely exciting that after 26.2 miles of running, that it came down to a sprint the last 100 yards.
