It’s Time to Start Running Again

Saturday marks the day Katie and I strap on the running shoes and hit the pavement for our Half Marathon training.  This should be interesting.  The last time I ran was in April when we ran the Nashville Half Marathon, and I’ve run out of excuses as to why I am not running.  Training for a Half by pushing a 1 year old in a jogging stroller was a good workout.  I imagine trying to jog while pushing two kids and keeping up with a hyperactive 90 pound lab will prove to be excruciating.   No pain no gain.

So if you find a fat out of shape father of two passed out on the side of the local running trails, just splash a Mt. Dew in my face and throw some Cheerios at the kids…and tell my wife I love her.

I disagree. When Shawn starts training he’s actually pretty fit; in other words, he has the lungs to finish well.

    Just my humble thoughts.
