Now this week’s poll…the best mattress on which to sleep? The Wife pointed out to me that the reason I sleep so soundly when napping (which is all that often) is because I sleep in the middle of the bed where the mattress is not “hollowed out”. I never realized this before…I thought I was just getting old, because I felt like I had been in a scrum all night.
Now that I can tell the mattress is worn out, I can’t sleep at all. So that brings us to this week’s poll…What type of matress should we buy?
I could go to Consumer Reports, but the loyal readers of the LOWDOWN (both of you) have much more influence in our lives than some silly international publication.

Ok, obviously I am catching up on your blog…we have a select number matress (sad tear that it is in storage in MN) and we LOVE it. Expensive but SO worth it! We talk of it often with fondness….
