This day started with a very hungry Ethan and a few “interesting” diapers. By 9:30 am, we began to wonder why no one was calling to check up on us. Maybe this is just what people do when you have your second child…they ignore you? Then we realized the reason no one was calling was because we could not find Katie’s cell phone. After several attempts to located it by calling it, we realized what must have happened. After Ethan’s birth last night, everyone started calling everyone to tell them the good news…including Katie. During the excitement Katie left her cell phone on the bed, and when the nurse came in to change the sheets, the cell phone must have been stripped with the linens.
So if you tried to call Katie today and she didn’t answer or call you back, please don’t be offended. She basically threw her phone away.
Dad’s errands today included: changing the “interesting” diapers, getting liters of ice water, fetching cups of sprite, swaddling Ethan, and running to the Mall to buy Katie a new phone.
So we are 100% back in business and all communication line are open.
Ethan had lots of visitors today. Thanks so much to Scott and Anna for the flowers and food, Todd, Sarah, and Gideon for the clothes and sweet shoes, Holly for the clothes and burp cloths, Tracie for the burp cloths, bubble bath and watching Ben, Michelle for the cookies (they didn’t last long), Heidi (and last night with Laura) for the stuffed animal, the Kordas for the Kristi Korda Kookies, and Momo, Papaw John, and Aunt Krissie for watching Ben, all the food, and all around support for everything.
Here a few snap shots from today….
