We finally made the step up from SoKno cable…(that’s the step below basic cable) to regular cable with the HD package (rip off) and the DVR (the rake).
And I am throughly enjoying it, but in a very different way than I would have predicted. I thought I would have to guard myself from watching inappropriate stuff and downright sinful shows, but that really hasn’t been the temptation.
Did you know that the History Channel has reality shows? Does anyone else find this odd…I mean it’s the HISTORY channel….you know, the stuff that has already happened…before today.
How can the History Channel produce reality TV shows and live up to its name?
I guess they probably classify them as documentary-type shows, but we all know what it is…fodder for ratings.
In any case, I’m hooked to shows like Ax Men. Are you kidding me…these guys are REAL MEN. The hair on these men’s chests has it’s own hair. I am definitely recording this one.

Oh and here’s another one I couldn’t tear myself away from. Ice Road Truckers. Do I really need to say more?
I figured the History Channel would enlighten me on Ben Franklin and the story of how such and such did that thing back in the 1800′s that made possible the thing that lead to such and such, but forget that…if this is History, I’ll be sure to pay my cable bill on time (if not early) every month.
